My name is Carolyn Pellegrino

I am a graduate from the University of Houston as of December 16th, 2016.

My journey has been long, but has developed me into the person I am today; I couldn't be happier to be where I am, and I am excited to see where I am going.

I had started my college career following the path of a nursing student, as encouraged by family. It took me some time, but I had finally entered into a local nursing school where I quickly realized that I can't follow the dreams of others to make me happy. I knew that I needed to pursue what I love, to lead myself into a career and not a day-to-day job.

That was the time of my life where I enrolled into the University of Houston and began studying the art of Integrated Communications, with my minor focusing on marketing. I knew that was where I was meant to be, as it entailed the learnings of public relations, marketing and advertising. It only seemed fitting as my grandfather was in the business of advertisement, and my father owns his own business of design and sales.

I knew I was in my niche as I excelled all the way through, graduating Cum Laude from the University of Houston.

I found throughout my studies that building relationships and connecting with others is a crucial part of succeeding on both a personal and professional level. I worked with teams consistently each semester and grew in my communication and group skills. I learned that deadlines come quickly and ideas don't always pan out the way you'd like; but, working with the stress, rather than letting the team and your clients down, is what allows you to come out strong in the end.

I am excited to put my knowledge and skills out into the world; to be able to point to a television, or listen to the radio, or invite friends to an event and say 'I created this'.

Becoming a part of a team and mixing our creative juices together to eventually come out with great things is what I live for, and I can't wait for the journey.
